We struggled with placing our mum in a care home, suffering from dementia we worried she wouldn’t be cared for, would miss family, be lonely. How wrong we were. What a fantastic place. Residents are treated with respect and dignity, care giving isn’t false they truly do care and they ensure there are activities that residents can join into no matter what their needs are, staff are there to help, sitting and talking to residents not talking down to them. It’s very clean and from what I have seen the catering is excellent. When I ring my mum she doesn’t want to talk to me because she is “with friends”. Thank you to all the staff of Fairby Grange for letting my mum live the remainder of her life in comfort and safety and allowing us to be daughters again and not carers

As a family, we have been really grateful to all of the staff at Fairby Grange. They are all so friendly, welcoming and worked incredibly hard to make my auntie feel at home. She was looked after brilliantly and they accommodated her needs, always keeping us informed along the way with a tremendous amount of support to us all. The home itself has a wonderful feel, with a balance of calm but at the same time, has a lovely buzz too. I only have positive things to say.

Finding the right home for Nan was a struggle. After much searching, we finally found this wonderful place, with warm caring staff and excellent facilities. We initially had concerns over how well nan would fit in, but we needn't have worried as she settled in right away, taking part in different events and activities. She's also been out on day trips to the local garden centre for coffee and cake. A real treat considering she's been housebound up to this point. This has only been made possible with the use of your own minibus. Thanks to everybody, I really appreciate everything you do for Nan.

A poorly run home with poor management and bad practices. They are advertising dementia care but are unable to offer this care and unfortunately it has now been found on more than one occasion when care needs increase they send relatives to hospital and then do not allow them to return with no notice period. A great place to grow old if you require little specialist care. There are a number of special carers who stand out for going the extra mile mainly Claire and Mel. The poor management and bad practices are disgusting and have cost at least one unnecessary death during the pandemic.

Wouldn’t even give one. My gramps with dementia went in to this home, he had a couple of incidents with one particular carer (red flag in the eyes of most good carers) they literally kicked him out with no warning and called the police…at Christmas, during a pandemic! Even the police where disgusted that they was doing that to a 90 year old man at 10pm at night. He had to stay in a Covid ripe hospital until we could find him a new home. Days later he’s back in hospital with COVID, our particularly healthy gramps died when he didn’t need to. Not pointing fingers, but I do hope they are very ashamed at their decision to do that to someone in these times… let alone a vulnerable old man!
